Located on 24 acres in Noank, a village within Groton, CT, Mystic River Homes is comprised of two complexes.
“THE COTTAGES“
The Cottages are a USDA-subsidized housing community for independent elderly and disabled persons. The Cottages consist of 46 garden-style apartments in four separate buildings. Efficiency, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments are available. Eligible residents include elderly individuals—at least one resident must be over 62—or disabled persons of any age.
“THE CONGREGATE”
The Congregate is under the auspices of the Connecticut Department of Housing and is intended for independent elderly individuals (over 62) who require a little more support. This three-story building has 50 one-bedroom apartments. Additional services are provided, including a hot midday meal, 24-hour call security, an onsite superintendent, communal spaces, and activity programming.
